Clinical and Support Areas

The Department of Medical Physics provides clinical support for other departments at the Cross Cancer Institute. The Department is closely associated with Radiation Oncology and Cancer Imaging. Medical Physics is responsible for the dosimetry, quality assurance, quality control and maintenance programs for the therapy and imaging equipment. Department personnel are also involved in the purchase, installation, acceptance, commissioning and maintenance of equipment for Radiation Oncology, Cancer Imaging and other departments throughout the Cross Cancer Institute.
