The Abdul Khaliq Library is located at the Cross Cancer Institute. The main library collection contains approximately 2,000 volumes and 72 current journal subscriptions.The Library also has back issues for approximately 100 journal subscriptions. The Library also has back issues for approximately 100 journal titles to which the Library no longer subscribes. The Abdul Khaliq Library is part of the NEOS consortium. NEOS is a central Alberta library consortium of academic and government libraries that share a catalogue and collaborate to provide a broader range of collections and services to its clients.

As a member of NEOS, clients using the Abdul Khaliq Library have access to the University of Alberta Libraries. It is one of the largest research libraries in Canada and a leader in providing networked access to local information resources as well as to resources around the globe. There are six large subject libraries plus a number of special collections on campus.

A number of texts and journals are housed in the Cross Cancer Institute Department of Medical Physics As part of its normal operating budget, the Department of Medical Physics regularly allocates funds for the purchase of reference books and journal/periodical subscriptions. Some journals, kept in Medical Physics (e.g. Medical Dosimetry) are purchased through the Abdul Khaliq Library's operating budget.
